Kristoffer Humphrey is an associate professor of English language and subject didactics at NTNU’s Department of Teacher Education at NTNU. He has previously worked in secondary school. His main fields of interest are English grammar, phonetics and discourse analysis.
Marthe Sofie Pande-Rolfsen er universitetslektor i engelsk litteratur og fagdidaktikk ved Institutt for lærerutdanning, NTNU. Hun har flere års erfaring med undervisning fra både grunnskole og høyere utdanning. This handbook is aimed specifically at teachers returning to university to qualify as English teachers through Kompetanse for Kvalitet (KfK). It provides students with practical tips about what they can expect from a KfK course and what will be expected of them as KfK students. The Teacher as English Student also includes chapters on how to approach course content, how to find and use resources, effective time management, useful study techniques aimed at helping KfK students develop the competencies needed to successfully complete a KfK course in English, exam preparation, and research ethics. Furthermore, the handbook contains a number of resources for use in their KfK studies as well as their classrooms.
